Tracy, over at the The Student Tablet PC posted a great summary of a technique to use a tablet pc to create "cheat sheets" for tests... The tablet makes is very easy to highlight concepts, make text very compact, and add graphics...

I use my tablet to create a final summary sheet to use for that last-minute studying for midterms and finals... Yes, I know... we should always study during the entire class before the test... yup... yup... and the Tooth Fairy really does leave a quarter... and, well you know the rest...
